The 2nd Gen of the Toyota HiAce was introduced for the 1977 model year with a new 2.0L I4 petrol engine and a 2.2L I4 diesel engine available along with the previous petrol engines. Offered with different wheel bases such as a short wheel base, long wheel base or super long wheelbase it was offered as a rear wheel drive or four wheel drive option. The 2nd Gen ended production in 1982 when it was replaced by the 3rd Gen Toyota HiAce.
