Toyota Tacoma - Standard Variants - 3rd Gen (2016 to 2023)

The 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma was introduced in 2016 and included both Access Cab and Double Cab model variants with short or long bed configurations, and rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Apart from the higher trimmed TRD Pro, multiple trim packages were available which are grouped here as standard variants. These include the SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road and Limited. These cars were powered by two engine options: 2.7L I4 (2TR-FE) and 3.5L V6 (2GR-FKS) with Atkinson cycle, paired to either a 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic transmission. A notable feature is the combination of durability and off-road capability (especially in the TRD Off-Road), coupled with comfort and technology improvements over previous generations, maintaining its reputation as a robust and reliable midsize pickup.
