These cars were available as either build-it-yourself kits, or factory completed cars. A wide variety of engines were used in the GTR, with a various American V8 engines ranging from 5.7L to 7.0L were used by the factory. Buyers could specify their choice of transmission, although it had to be a manual unit, with drive going to the rear wheels. Due to the nature of these cars, some are lots are titled in the year of their completion, not the year the kit was created. Once production of the Ultima GTR ended in 2016, it was replaced by the Ultima Evolution.
