The Ultima Sport was a series of track-focused cars that were introduced in 1992. Like most of Ultima's models, the Sport was available as a fully built car, or as a build-it-yourself kit. The Sport was offered in a coupe body style, while its sibling the Spyder featured an open top body style. These cars were available with a range of engines as buyers could fit almost any engine they desired, but the most common powerplant was a 5.7L Chevrolet V8 engine tuned by noted engine builder American Speed. Due to the nature of these cars, some are lots are titled in the year of their completion, not the year the kit was created. Once production of the Ultima Sport ended in 1999, it was replaced by the Ultima GTR.
