The Vector M12 was a limited production supercar that debuted for the 1996 model year. The M12 was the first and only car created by Vector after it was forcibly taken over by Megatech. Unlike the previous Vector-branded cars, the M12 was not a bespoke creation, but instead it relied an various components from Lamborghini Diablo, which was also owned by Megatech at the time. The most notable component was the drivetrain, which featured the Diablo's 5.7L V12, and its 5 speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. In spite of having access to high end mechanical components, the M12 was not well received as it did not meet expections for a car in its price range. In the end only 17 total examples, including prototypes, were ever produced.
