The Volkswagen Corrado VR6 superseded the Corrado G60 featuring a 2.8L or 2.9L front mounted VR6 engine paired to a manual or automatic gearbox. This VR6 power plant had a 15° angle between the cylinder banks so it could be fitted in smaller 4 cylinder engine bays. With power going to the front wheels this engine configuration made the Corrado a fast and sporty variant and a very sought after collectible. The Corrado VR6 ended production in 1995.
