The Volkswagen LT was launched in 1975 and became the largest light Comercial panel van produced by Volkswagen before it was superseded by the Volkswagen Crafter in 2006. Available in a large series of load capacities, the Volkswagen LT was equipped with an independent front wheel suspension front axle and later was added a solid front axle to increase load capacity. The LT was produced in two generations during its 20 years long production. The Volkswagen LT ended production in 2006.
