Volvo V70 - Base Model - 1st Gen (1997 to 2000)

The standard, or Base Model, was introduced for the 1997 model year as station wagon based on the Volvo 850 wagon. The V70 was fitted with a selection of inline five engines, gearboxes, equipment and standard front wheel drive. The V70 was also available in a crossover variant knowned as the V70 XC. The V70 was replaced by the 2nd Gen Volvo V70 in 2000.
