Volvo XC70 - 2nd Gen (2000 to 2007)

The Volvo XC70 was an off-road focused variant of the 2nd Gen Volvo V70 that debuted for the 2000 model year. Offered with even more ground clearance than its predecessor thanks to a raised suspension, the V70 XC had unpainted bumpers and extensions and also AWD as standard. Two engines were available, a 2.4L low pressure turbo gasoline engine or a 2.4L turbo diesel Inline five engine known as the D5. This model was badged as the XC70 in 2003 and the 2.4L Turbo diesel engine was replaced by a 2.5L turbo diesel inline five engine with manual or automatic transmission options. Production of the 2nd Gen V70 XC ended in 2007, but the model series would continue in the 3rd Gen Volvo V70.
