The Cooper Car Company was founded in 1947 by Charles Cooper and his son John Cooper. A British automotive manufacturer, the Cooper Car Company was focused on creating race cars, and achieved great success over many years with various models. The Cooper name is synonymous with the British Motor Company's Mini. The Mini Cooper was created by Alec Issigonis and John Cooper, and was a lighter, faster, and sportier version of the Austin and Morris Mini.
