The company began creating race cars in 1940, yet only in 1947 did the company produce a car badged as a Ferrari. To list notable road models is almost impossible as so many Ferrari models hold such important places in the automotive world. Legendary cars such as the 250, 288 GTO, Daytona, Dino, Enzo and F40 are just a few of the Ferrari models whose names send pulses racing. Ferrari also has a massive motorsport heritage, having competed in Formula 1 since the sport's first season. The company has gone on to win multiple championships, and boasts a racing history second to none. Ferrari's Formula One cars as well as their other motorsport and track cars are among the most highly regarded in the world. Recently the company has been working with hybrid systems used solely for performance improvement, the first of those systems debuting in the LaFerrari.
