Very nice pre-war Midget. Older restoration which is incredibly well documented with a binder of documents dating back to the 1960s. At some point in it's past, it was fitted with a fully rebuilt XPAG engine which offers better performance and parts availability than the MPJG. Recent work includes new convertible top and side curtains, five new Excelsior tires with tubes, new Bell stainless exhaust, brake system refresh and general servicing of fluids/filters, tappets, etc..
Also included with the car is a European Ford T-9 five speed gearbox which, when coupled to the adapter kit from Hi-Gear Engineering in England, is the only modern gearbox that can be fitted to the MGT without any modification to the chassis or floor pan. They have even had an original looking shift knob made but with a 5-gate pattern on top so only the eagle-eyed would know it has a modern gearbox underneath!
I love these cars and take great pride in maintaining such a wonderful piece of automotive history but I'm changing course and want to spend more time out on the water, alas, it's time for this to find a new loving caretaker. Happy to answer any questions and/or provide more specific detail as needed.
