1954 MG TF, 1250 cc 4 speed, manual gearbox, finished in Birch Grey with a red interior.
From records acquired with the car, it has undergone a multi-year frame up refurbishment starting in 1999 to present. That included re-wiring, a rebuild of the engine - .060″ overbore, regrinding of the crankshaft and the camshaft, new pistons and bearings, lightened flywheel, and replacement seals, new body wood, replacement steel inner and outer quarter panels, fresh paint, a new top, matching side curtains and tonneau cover. Front shocks also were rebuilt and new rubber bushings were installed for the front suspension and steering. The brakes received a new master cylinder, bushings, wheel cylinders, and copper alloy lines.
I acquired it in 2021 and changed the interior from black to red, restoring the original factory color combination. Other additions by myself include a new clutch, new tires, new starter motor, tune up, and lots of little fixes.
It’s a lovely example and drives really well but is not perfect so there’s always more to do.
Comes with side curtains two tonneau covers and other spares.
