1957 MG MGA 1500 Roadster — Tyrolite Green, Wire Wheels, Heritage-Certified

Offered is a genuine, documented 1957 MGA 1500 Roadster, chassis HDR43/22165,
built at Abingdon on 29–30 October 1956 and despatched to the USA. Per its
BMIHT Certified Copy of the Factory Record (#2020/5113), it left the works in
Old English White with black trim; it now presents in Tyrolite Green (BMC paint
code GN7) over a black pleated interior, on chrome wire wheels with a tan
folding top. Left-hand drive. 1489cc B-Series four, four-speed manual. Starts,
runs, and drives.

The car has had a long list of recent mechanical attention by the prior owner:
- Brakes: all four redone — new brake shoes and wheel cylinders all round;
modern brake-pedal switch added for reliability
- Drivetrain: newer clutch; fresh gear oil in gearbox and rear axle
- Fuel: new fuel sender; Holley electric fuel pump (rear-mounted); inline filter
- Instruments: speedometer professionally rebuilt with new cable; electric
tachometer fitted inside the original tach housing
- Cooling: front-mounted oil cooler added
- Suspension/steering: front shock absorbers rebuilt; newer wood-rim wheel
- Electrical: wiring gone through; newer, louder horn
- Lighting: correct original front headlamps (not reproduction)
- Body/glass: windshield replaced; new front and rear bumpers; original-style grille
- Interior: new carpet kit and rubber MG floor mats
- Wheels: converted to chrome wire wheels (wire-wheel rear axle fitted to suit)
- Safety/security: custom kill switch installed behind the passenger seat

Documentation includes the BMIHT Heritage Certificate, the original MG (Series
"MGA") factory Operation Manual, and a clean Ohio title.

Sold as an honest, drivable classic. As is typical of these cars, it seeps/uses a
small amount of oil — keep an eye on the level. No stories, just a sorted MGA
ready to enjoy this season.
