The Bugatti Type 35 was an iconic race car produced from 1924 till 1930. It is considered the most winning car of the 1920’s. New to our showroom is a fun Tribute to the Bugatti Type 35. Built on a 1959 Volkswagen Beetle chassis has many new parts and tasteful upgrades to enhance this open wheel car. The front axle has been upgraded to a 1970 Karman Ghia axle with a whole new disk brake package, ball joints, tie rods, and steering dampers. Out back is a 1968 IRS Transaxle that has freshened up CV axles and fresh fluids, making it ready for your next adventure. Powering this little red rocket is a recently rebuilt 1600cc dual-port VW engine. During the rebuild, new heads, pistons, crank, fuel pump, distributor, alternator, and a rebuilt German carburetor were installed. During the build, all the bearings, wheels, and tires were replaced, ensuring a smooth ride down the road. Stepping into the interior, you are greeted with a beautiful brushed turned copper dash with a removable aluminum steering wheel to make getting in and out easier in this cozy cockpit of an interior. For safety in this open-wheel race car tribute, a set of bomber racing seats with a 4-point harness keeps you firmly in the perfect driving position. Completing the race car looking is a new bright red paint job with white number decals. For the chance to fulfill your dreams of ownership, contact us.
