1959 Rambler American Station Wagon. Original exterior and interior. Exterior has been repainted. In line 6 cylinder, 3 speed on the column transmission. Has mag wheels. Suspension work performed to stabilize the ride, engine has new seals, seatbelts added. Has original radio, even an old cooler. Rear window is wind-down. All chrome is original and has been polished. Some pitting consistent with the age of the car.
Engine compartment has been pinstriped. There is a luggage rack on top. Very eye-catching car, as people will stop just to take a look at where is is parked! Drives very well and starts every time. OK as a daily driver.
New wheels / brakes and modern radial tires. All driveline inspected and replaced seals, U joints. All under hood electrical inspected and replaced wiring and ignition system, fuel system replaced. Cooling system / radiator refurbished after inspection, testing, flushing entire system / thermostat& hoses replaced. Steering & alignments & shocks replaced or refurbished. All electrical inspected & refurbished where any evidence of corrosion etc required. A spare transmission was added and included in sale.
A rear area bug screen ( fitting the rear windows is still in its original box, only a read passenger windows handle is detached and needs replacement...but all door handles / windows roll up mechanisms were inspected and refurbished / greased up etc. All doors well fitted, not evidence of body or chassis damage - seemingly all original exterior / interior panels. Seat belts added. All dashboard controls and devices in good working order. Exhaust system all refurbished. Engine is tight and clean, no leaks or damage. Air cleaner and oil breather cap replaced with modern aluminium replacements. The car was a decades long refurbishing project by a recent former owner who was member of a vintage car club in Tigard, Oregon, stored in a shop garage and used mostly in vintage car parades.
