This is a 1960 Austin Seven fully rotisserie restored in 2020. It’s powered by a fully overhauled 1275 cc motor with a 4 speed rod change gearbox and a 3.10 final drive ratio for highway driving. All new alternator, starter, aluminum radiator, master cylinders, clutch, Weber down draft carb / manifold, header and exhaust system.
The suspension rubber springs have been replaced with Hi / Lo’s and Blue springs which gives it a good road feel without being too stiff. All upper and lower control arms and rear suspension has been rebuilt with new bearings and seal throughout. The front brakes have been converted to 7.5 in Disc brakes similar to what the original Mini Coopers had from the factory. In addition the cars has 10 inch FALKAN 165/70R tires mounted on Mini Light wheels.
The interior seats have been upholstered by a local shop to match the color theme of the car. All new door, dash and rear seat interior panels covered in black vinyl along with new black carpet and head liner.
The car has about 1,000 miles on since the restoration was completed as it’s only really driven to local car shows, cruise nights and the occasional weekend drive. Included are all the receipts and the British Motor Heritage cert I received when I bought the car as a project pile of parts several years ago.
Some may ask; if the cars this nice why are you selling? Simply because I need to make room in my shop. I finished the restoration of a 1962 Mini 850 pickup this past year and that one is also going to car shows and cruise nights and I have other projects in work so it’s time for someone else to enjoy this sweet part of history.
