About this 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix

VIN: 894S6279

This 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix spent 52 years with its original owner prior to its purchase by me, the current owner circa 2016. The car was repainted in sky blue prior to purchase. Power is from a 389ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes dual engine cooling fans, power steering, power brakes, stacked headlights, Parchment vinyl upholstery, an Alpine radio, aftermarket parcel-shelf speakers, and a cabin heater. This Grand Prix is now offered by for sale with a clean California title. The car has 14″ eight-lug wheels, power steering, and power-assisted four-wheel drum brakes. The cabin houses power-adjustable front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Parchment vinyl, and amenities include roll-up windows, a center console, an Alpine radio, aftermarket speakers, and a cabin heater. The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer along with gauges for alternator output and fuel level. A Pontiac-branded manifold-pressure gauge is mounted beneath the dashboard in addition to a trio of supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 92k miles, approximately only 1k of those miles were added on since I bought the car in 2016. The 389ci V8 breathes through an aftermarket carburetor and features dual Edelbrock valve cover breathers. A secondary switch-controlled cooling fan has been added. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.

Decoding the body plate reveals the following information:

10C – Third week of October production date
Style 64-2957 – 1964 two-door Sport Coupe
Body BC – South Gate, California, assembly and sequence number
Color W – Nocturne Blue paint
Trim 273 – Parchment vinyl upholstery

Thank you for your interest in my vehicle. I look forward to finding my beautiful baby a new home that will enjoy, respect and treat this masterpiece with the love and care it deserves.
