About this 1965 Porsche 356 Coupe

VIN: 221814

We are pleased to offer on behalf of one of our clients this gorgeous 1965 Porsche 356 C Coupe in rare Sky Blue.

For many years, 2shores has been offering selected first grade examples of collectible automobiles. This very cool C Coupe is one of those offerings!

History:
The last revision of the 356 was the 356 C introduced for the 1964 model year. It featured disc brakes all around, radial Pirelli Cinturato tires, as well as an option for the most powerful pushrod engine Porsche had ever produced, the 95 hp “SC”. Production of the 356 peaked at 14,151 cars in 1964, the year that its successor, the new Porsche 911, was introduced to the US market. The company continued to sell the 356 C in North America through 1965 as demand for the model remained quite strong in the early days of the heavier and more expensive 911.

This car:
Our car on offer is a European delivery (Paris, Son Auto) which found it’s way to the US early in life. Our records for the car begin in the 1980’s, when renowned Porsche specialist Victor Miles did a bare metal respray to the car in stunning Sky Blue (originally the car was Irish green with black leatherette). At that time the interior colors were also changed to a dark blue leather.

The paint is now 36 years old and still- it looks absolutely amazing. The body is super straight and shows very minimal signs of use. The interior still has the original carpets showing some age, but dashboard, headliner, door panels and upholstery are in wonderful condition. All instruments are original and in metric units!

Mechanically, the car was treated to a full engine rebuild in 2022 and it has only about 2000 km (1200 miles) on the drivetrain since.

This extremely appealing Coupe enjoyed single owner ship for about 30 years by a family in Carmel, CA and another 6 years in Monterey. The current owner, an avid 356 collector bought the car in 2023. The car still retains its original engine and transmission as verified by a Kardex copy and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

This little Coupe has to be one of the best running and driving examples, we ever had the pleasure to present.
A stunningly beautiful and rarely seen color combination on a mechanically fully sorted 356 C. It does not get much better.

This is a rare opportunity to own a 356 C Coupe ready to be enjoyed, driven and shown at local events.

It comes with the correct and complete tool kit, jack, spare and owners manual. In addition the original California blue plate as well as a luggage rack are with the car.
