1967 Ford Mustang Fastback – Keith Craft 427 FE, 706HP, Tremec 5-Speed, Pro Touring, Gone in 60 Seconds Tribute
Some builds you look at and think, nice car. Others stop you completely. This is the second kind.
This is a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback built as a full Pro Touring tribute to the most famous silver Fastback in cinema history. The foundation is a genuine S-code 390 GT Fastback with a 7R02S VIN. What sits in it now is a Keith Craft Racing Engines 427 FE stroked to 510 cubic inches, producing over 706 horsepower and 945 Newton meters of torque on pump gas, with an additional 150 horsepower of nitrous installed and ready but inactive. Over 180,000 dollars in receipts, dyno sheets and build documentation comes with it.
Under the hood
The Shelby aluminum big bore FE block has 4-bolt mains, 4340 steel crankshaft, H-beam rods, Diamond forged pistons, Comp Cams custom hydraulic roller cam, and Edelbrock Stage II CNC heads. A Demon 780cfm carb sits on a Shelby intake, MSD ignition through Moroso plug wires, Melling high-volume oil pump, ARP fasteners throughout. Dyno-tuned, fully blueprinted, 6,200 RPM redline, pump gas. The Tremec TKO600 5-speed puts the power down through a Currie 9-inch rear end.
Chassis and handling
Four-link rear with coilovers, coilover front suspension, subframe connectors, rack and pinion steering, Wilwood 4-wheel drilled and slotted disc brakes. Budnik wheels, 235/45ZR17 front and 275/40ZR17 rear. Built to be driven hard.
The interior
One-piece custom dash and console, fiberglass headliner, Corbeau seats with 5-point harnesses, power windows, Vintage Air A/C, Autometer Phantom gauges, Pioneer touchscreen with Kenwood 600-watt amplification, hidden backup camera, billet hood hinges, battery in trunk.
The exterior
Pepper Grey with black Shelby stripes, functional scoops, side exhausts with cutouts, billet grille, fog lights, Eleanor-style wheels. It looks exactly like what it is, the most iconic silver Fastback ever put on film, done properly.
