I am offering my classic 1969 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe for sale. This car has a 3.8 liter DOHC inline 6 engine with triple SU carburetors and a manual 4 speed synchro-mesh Moss transmission. This car is in great shape and drives like a charm. Body is in very good condition with only slight, isolated blistering in some areas. I have put a lot of effort into making improvements on the car since it was purchased. These include:
New steering column
New turn signal switch
New ignition switch
Seat belts and sun visors
New spark plugs
New vacuum advance
New vacuum reaction valve on brake master cylinder
New front splined hub on right wheel
Rebuilt starter motor
New heater tubes
New front ball joints
New rear sub-frame mounts
Repaired right engine mount frame
New speedometer cable
I have records of the maintenance performed by previous owners as well as those performed for me by Ragtops and Roadsters of Perkasie, Pa, a facility specializing in the restoration of English sports cars. Inquires are welcome as is an opportunity to test drive the car.
Please note that the mileage listed is what the odometer reads after the original engine was replaced in the summer of 1993 with the current engine. This engine is a 3.8L and not the original 4.2L. The engine is equipped with a series 2 dual radiator and Pentronix ignition.
