A beautifully restored Porsche 912, with a revised engine and a great colour. Carefree enjoyment of one of the most iconically designed cars, does it get any better?

In 1964 the Porsche 911 succeeded the 356. An icon is born, although people don't know it yet. The 911 is a lot more expensive than the 356 and that is why Porsche decided a year later to put an affordable variant on the market, a version with the 1.6 four-cylinder from the last 356. Together with more sober equipment and a more favourable price, Porsche succeeds in maintaining both familiar as well as getting many new customers into a car from Zuffenhausen. In fact, in the first period, more 912s were sold than 911s.
The 912 may have less power than its six-cylinder brother, but the 912 can still count on positive reactions. The handling is even better than that of the 911 due to the lower weight in the rear, the 912 is less risky in terms of sudden oversteer and of course, maintenance costs and consumption costs are much lower.
After decades of being the underrated brother of the 911, the 912 has been on the rise for several years. With its wonderful driving characteristics, the four-cylinder is highly appreciated by participants of historic rallies and enthusiasts who particularly like the classic appearance of this model and find the push in the back of secondary importance. By the way, a 912 with 104 hp and a weight of only 965 kilograms is still a smooth car.

The 912 we offer here is one from 1969. The bodywork of this beautiful blue 912 is very neat. The car has been restored and photos of this restoration and renovation are available. As you can see, a thorough approach was chosen, the only correct one if you ask us. The 912 connoisseur will immediately notice when getting in that this car is equipped with the optional extra meters in the dashboard. As standard, the four-cylinder was missing the two outer counters that the 911 does have.
The upholstery of the seats, rear seats and doors is neat and the same applies to the carpeting.

The engine picks up nicely, sounds like a boxer four-cylinder should sound and the five-speed gearbox is easy and precise to operate. In the meantime, everything functions as it should, both in terms of brakes and other technology, as well as the meters, buttons and all other things. This 912 is as it should be: very pleasant driving characteristics with good suspension and sufficient power for sporty drives.

The 912 comes with a folder with documentation and invoices and also a DVD with images of the restoration. The bottom of the car is just as neat as the top, a car where you can fully focus on driving and cherishing!
