This truck has been a project truck to take it back as much as possible to its original state. If I don’t sell, I’ll continue on that path. I’ve done various major and minor repairs and fixes on it to put it in gradually better and better condition, but not modify it much if at all. Since I bought it, I’ve had a new tranny put in, converted front drum brakes to disc, replaced the carburetor, alternator, battery twice, new tires, among other things. It’s been driven only a little over the seven years I’ve owned it. It being a secondary vehicle, I probably drive it on average less than 10 miles per year, which in many ways is a shame.
I’ve enjoyed owning this truck, working on it, doing research on it, and plain having it be a part of my life. I appreciate its history, practicality, simplicity, and design. To be honest, researching and compiling research on this truck and the period of ‘67-72’ Chevy trucks of the Action Line “Glamor” truck era has been as exciting to me as driving it. I’ve had a growing respect for its beauty. It’s a classic in the truest sense of the word. All that said, it may find a new home for the right buyer at the right price, if it’s meant to be sold.
