I bought this vehicle as a restoration project for the purpose of rekindling my passion for vintage automotive design essence and driving pleasure. Additionally, my selection of restoring a Chevrolet C-10 long bed aligned as a hobby of preserving the authenticity of a classic car with attention to detail for long term potential for appreciation.
Restoration in progress: it has a granny gear and feels low geared even though the differential is sep up with highway gears, bed - original wood bed under mounted diamond plate sheet metal. Tail gate to be refinished. Starts and drives. Interior in well kept condition with minor wear and rust around the door frame.
Improvements: engine bored from a 350 to a 383, true dual exhaust with magnaflows, pipes exiting in front of rear tires with dual tips, replaced gears rear end differential to highway oriented gears, electronic fuel pump, high performance aluminum radiator, new front and back bumpers.
Stored in climate controlled garage in winter, as well outside during the summer months.
