The Challenger T/A was a special racing homologation version created to compete in SCCA Trans Am racing, hence the “T/A” name. It was only produced for the 1970 model year—Dodge withdrew from Trans Am racing after limited success, making this a one-year-only special edition.
The T/A came with a 340 cubic inch V8 featuring the famous “Six Pack” triple dual-carburetor setup, distinctive side stripes, a black fiberglass hood, and front and rear spoilers.
