About this 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer

VIN: KE181S654388

Chevrolet introduced the K5 Blazer for the 1969 model year in response to Ford’s Bronco and International’s Scout. The 1st-Gen Blazer had a fully removable hard top making it a full convertible. Today these early SUVs have gained massive popularity with builders and restorers as the buying audience is looking for modern powertrains and unique paint and interior combinations. The aftermarket industry is nearly unlimited with products and build ideas and support for these full-size off-roaders.
This 1971 model year K5 Blazer 4x4 received a frame-off restoration a few years ago and is now powered by a GM LQ4 (LS family) 6.0L V8 with a Holley Terminator X fuel-injection system, mated to a Turbo 400 3-Speed automatic transmission and a NP241 transfer case. The engine features an Eddie Motorsports serpentine belt system and is cooled by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The motor is prepped for A/C but no HVAC system is currently fitted. The exhaust features headers, and dual Magnaflow mufflers with 2.5-inch pipes. Other features include power steering and front disk brakes with Willwood master cylinder/booster. The suspension has a 4-inch lift and dual-reservoir Fox SVT shock conversion kit. Beefy 35-inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires are wrapped around beautiful 17-inch KMC beadlock polished aluminum wheels. The exterior was refinished in a beautiful Silver/Blue metallic with White lower trim and hard top, all chrome and brightwork shows like new and all exterior lamps were upgraded to modern LED. Inside the cabin a full gauge package greets you from behind the wheel. All new grey upholstery covers the seats, custom rear panels with speaker enclosures have been fitted, and new grey loop carpets cover the floors with chrome door sill plates. A JVC Bluetooth stereo is neatly hidden in the glovebox and subwoofer box is installed behind the rear seat, while speakers reside in the lower front kick panels, rear seat arm rest, and side panels all combine to give a very nice sound with some kickin’ bass thump!

This Blazer is ready to hit the trails or take the top off and hit the beach and get ready to have everybody turn their head with envy as you travel in good old vintage American style with a commanding view of the road.
