Rare gem! 5 ton dually utility truck! Lift ladder can be operated from base or from plank while extended. Extends all the way to the ground, no climbing necessary, and reaches a height of 45'. Moves horizontally or vertically with ease, as well as both simultaneously for diagonally directed ascent. Works well. Side utility/tool boxes have slide out drawers and shelves, truck bed has plenty of room to haul just about anything. Oscillating caution light fully functional, hand operated spotlight either needs a new bulb or is not plugged in but intact.
Has new cap and rotor, plugs and wires, starter and solenoid. Truly an amazing machine. Bought it to trim trees and remove storm windows. The previous owner used it to paint his house. Now it's ready for its next adventure. Has all paperwork ever attached to it, from the drawing board (even has blueprint sketches) to the finished product and after. Really is a neat little piece of history!
Current status: Ran like a champ and then overheated. Not sure why. Now i don't know exactly whats going on, could be a stuck valve but could be a bent rod. It does turn over. Not ruling out water pump as original cause, and could very well be timing related. And realistically it could be any, all, or none of the above. I just don't have the time to work on it and its current location is only temporary. So, to avoid losing it... I would love to see it restored to its original glory one day, but I just can't make it happen. What I can do is pass it on to someone who can.
