This car was built in Toronto, Canada in the 1970’s by “Canadian Industrial Prototype Ltd.” The owners Rudi & George Fejer built somewhere in the neighbourhood of 14 cars or so (unconfirmed exact #) purportedly “under licence” from Colin Chapman of Lotus Cars in England. They also built the “Chinook” Can Am car and an Indy racer In the 1960 - 1970’s. (You can find info on this on the internet.)
As far as I can tell, I am the 3rd owner and have owned it since 2008. I bought it from a doctor in New Brunswick who told me he was, he believed, the second owner and he purchased it in an estate sale.
I have maintained and rebuilt this car for the 3rd and final time and have tried to keep it as original as possible. It has a 1973 Toyota 2TC 1.6L motor (one of the most popular & reliable motors ever produced from Toyota). It has been recently completely rebuilt by a professional shop in Ontario, Canada with oversized pistons, all new bearings, head and deck machined & matched, new valves, all new bearings and seals and a “mild cam” installed. All paperwork, documentation and specs available on request with car.
Car is very reliable (with constant tinkering, like any car similar). A lot of fun on a back country road on a sunny fall day. It’s NOT a race car, but a Sunday “fair weather” sun and wind in the face joy to drive. It’s also an “attention getter” so be prepared for a lot of questions from people. Contact if interested. I have many more pics if required.
