1975 Porsche 911 DP935 Street
Andial 3.4L Engine / Close Ratio 915 / LSD
Clean Title - 56k Miles
Here is a rare opportunity to own an early DP Motorsport 935 street. This car started life in Germany as a euro-market Silver Anniversary Edition non-sunroof model and was converted by DP Motorsport at some point in the late 70’s / early 80’s (original paperwork not available). The car was imported to the US in 1984 and lived in Sarasota, FL for many years. We acquired the car from its 3rd US owner who had owned it since 1991. At some point in its life, the original 2.7L magnesium block engine gave out, as most of them did. A 3.0L case out of a 1978 911SC was sourced as a platform to build a monster naturally aspirated engine with old-school roots. Below are more details:
Drivetrain
Engine built at 47k miles in 2002 (currently about 9k miles on build)
3.0L > 3.4L displacement
Andial 98mm pistons & cylinders
3.2L crankshaft
JWE Motorsports built heads (8k RPM)
Elgin cams (306/288)
PMO 46mm carburetors
Front mounted oil cooler
Triad headers w/ heater boxes & custom dual inlet / outlet exhaust
915 Gearbox rebuilt & re-geared during same time as engine build
Close ratio gearing (7:31 ring & pinion - 443 short gears)
Patrick Motorsports lightweight flywheel & clutch
Weltmeister short shift kit
3.2 Carrera LSD
Suspension / Wheels
Koni adjustable shocks
Lightweight tubular torsion bars 21mm front / 31mm rear
Weltmeister adjustable spring plates
Turbo tie rods
Original 15” OZ vega 3-piece forged wheels
Brand new Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires (285 rear)
Interior
DP Motorsport Lollipop bucket seats
Vintage DP low-spoke steering wheel by Momo
Roll bar / half cage
RS door panels
Coco mats
All in all, there is nothing quite comparable on the market and surely not at your local cars & coffee. The early DP935 street cars had a very unique look which, compared to the later DP935 II, consisted of a narrower body and swallow tail, or longtail. This car is very nimble, feels light on its feet and is seriously fast. The engine is estimated to make 300whp and it feels like every bit of it. Be sure to watch the driving videos to see what this car is all about. Just serviced with fresh oil, valve cover gaskets & tires making this DP935 turn-key and ready to be enjoyed.
