This refurbished 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 'Troopy' long-wheelbase is powered by a 4.2L(2F) inline six-cylinder engine capable of sending power to all four wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. In 2023 the truck was refinished in green with a new beige vinyl removable top. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl upholstery. The Troopy is equipped with front fog lamps and four folding jump seats in the rear. The odometer shows 160,044 km (99,446 miles); however, the actual mileage is unknown. This FJ45 was initially purchased by the Chilean Army and acquired by the seller in Chile, and is now located in Schertz, Texas.

The third-party inspection and photos show a clean truck with fresh exterior paint in good condition. The new vinyl top also appears in good condition without tears or oxidization. Inside the truck, the green paint is in the same condition as the exterior, and the black vinyl seats only show one tear. In 2022, the truck was given a major mechanical service, which included servicing the fuel system, engine, and brake system. A list of repairs can be seen in the photos. A test drive was completed, and no irregularities were found with the vehicle. A smooth-running 2F engine can be seen in the inspection report.

About the model

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 'Troopy' is a long-wheelbase variant of the FJ45. Primarily produced until 1984, some markets where Toyota had a local factory would continue to produce it until later years. Because of its longer cabin, and its rear seating configuration, this variant became popular for military use around the world as a capable troop carrier; hence nicknamed 'Troopy'.
