1984 Chevy S10 Tahoe Extended Cab 4WD
I bought this 1984 Chevy S10 Tahoe Extended Cab 4WD Pickup in 1988 from the original owner. In 1990 I installed a 4.3 V6 engine and transmission with transfer case from a 1989 Chevy S10 Blazer. I also changed out both the front and rear diffs with the positrac units. As the original engine was carbureted, I installed an electric fuel pump in tank and converted the electrical system to work with the computer from the 89. This was all professionally done in my restoration shop and attention to detail was top priority.
The truck has always been in Texas and there is no rust anywhere. In 2024 I had the body of the truck completely repaired with new front fenders, hood and tailgate. The truck was stripped to bare metal, sealed, primed and painted in original Carmine Red. It is flawless!
The bed is sprayed with the same color bed liner.
I also reconditioned the interior. I installed sound deadening liner thruout, new padding and red carpeting, seats are redone as original, all plastic panels inside have been reconditioned and resprayed in the original color. The dash has also been resprayed. It all looked like new!
The engine has always been run with Amsoil Synthetic oil with not only the Amsoil filter but also the larger bypass oil filter system. The throttle body has been rebuilt, tuning was recent, and it runs great. The addition of the 4.3 V6 makes all the difference!
The transmission was overhauled. New front axles were installed. A Borgeson quick ratio steering box and solid steering shaft installed for great road handling.
The A/C system was upgraded to a Sankyo compressor, new evaporator and heater core, new high efficiency condenser and conversion to 134 Freon. It is ice cold.
The wheels are off the 89 Blazer and are the correct wheels with the 4x4 engraving. They are in fine shape and have new Yokohama 235x75 tires installed. The driveshaft has new joints, carrier, and has been balanced.
Power door locks were installed and a backup camera.
The speedometer has a converter to run the original cable drive unit off the electrical signal from the trans. This was done recently and does not reflect the actual mileage of the truck but the speed shown is accurate.
I do have a optional Camper top available.
