About the model

The Toyota Corolla E80 is a range of small automobiles manufactured and marketed by Toyota from 1984 to 1987 as the fifth generation of cars under the Corolla nameplate. Most models adopted a front-wheel drive layout. A DOHC 16-valve engine, designated 4A-GE, was added in 1984 on the rear-drive cars. It was a 1.6L (1,587 cc) inline-four rated at 112 hp, turning the Levin/Trueno (Japan), Corolla GT coupé (Europe), and Corolla GT-S (North America) into what was arguably a sports car. A different variant, known as the Sport SR5, featured the 4A-C engine rated at 70 hp.
