This vintage 1987 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL is a great vehicle and still running after almost 40 years. I bought the vehicle in late 1987 and owned it to date. All of it is original, it cannot get more original than this vehicle. It has always been a great runner, the engine and transmission are still going strong. The transmission was replaced and purchased at Loeder Motors Lincolnwood, because I wanted an original trans, about 20 years ago. The steering column, ignition switch and tumbler are no good but you can still get the car started and drive it. The gorgeous interior is a signature detail that is hard to find nowadays and has a spacious cabin/trunk. This vehicle would be great for a restoration or can be driven as is.
