This vehicle was purchased new and I am original owner. Primary use of the vehicle was for family vacations and towing my boat to mostly local lakes in northern Illinois which is why the mileage is so low. The vehicle was garage kept for 36 of its 38 years at my home in Crystal Lake, Illinois which is Northwest of Chicago, which has helped to keep it in good condition. In December of 2023 we moved to a townhome in Tinley Park, Ilinois which is a suburb Southwest of Chicago. Since out move the car is kept outside our Tinley Park, Illinois home as the garage was to small to fit both of our vehicles. I am selling the vehicle as it is no longer needed for towing as we sold our boat when we moved. The vehicle is well maintained, runs and starts good in all weather. Most major components have been replaced over the years with the exception of the engine and transmission which are original and operating fine. Major repairs and maintenance include brakes, master cylinder and lines, radiator, heater core, thermostat, radiator cap, coolant, belts, hoses, blower motor, rear wheel bearings, water pump, alternator, exhaust system, AC compressor and Dryer, starter, Distributor Cap, wires, rotor, plugs, battery, radio, transmission fluid and filter, regular oil and filter changes using full synthetic 10w30 since its been available. Maintenance and repairs were done by myself and 3rd party mechanics as required. Photos of the maintenance log are attached and original receipts for major repairs and maintenance are available. The interior seats and carpeting are clean and has never been subject to smoking.
Issues
There is some exterior body rust in various places as can be seen in the photos. The most significant is a hole on the driver side, behind the rear wheel.
Exterior paint on the drivers side and front passenger fender is original, is faded, and peeling in spots. The roof, hood, passenger side and rear tail gate areas were repainted and are in good condition. The Black spots seen in the photos is where the original paint is peeling down to black primer. My understanding is GM had a problem with a clear coat over the paint which caused the peeling to happen over time.
Headliner is coming down due to crumbling of the headliner backing material. The headliner material itself is in good shape without any holes or stains so the backing material could be replaced and existing headliner material reattached. See photos.
Bench cloth seat in the Drivers position only is worn and has small tears which I have been repairing manually with needle and thread. See photo.
Rear AC unit fan blades when operating on High hits the shroud making noise. At Low speed the fan generally does not make noise but it happens intermittently depending on road conditions and temperature. While rear AC works fine I never fixed it as I generally haven't needed the rear unit.
AC Compressor, Receiver and Dryer were replaced 5/21/13 @ 94378 mi. and system recharged. Currently AC works fine front and rear after I do an annual recharge with R134A freon ($70) in the spring which lasts all summer and fall. After the system was fixed in 2013 I have had multiple mechanics try to find and fix the leak but they say its a very slow leak that occurs over the winter and they can't seem to locate from where.
Rear bumper as per photos has some minor damage to bumper and black rub rail due to backing into a post at slow speed.
4 new tires LT235/85R16E120/116Q RBL BF Goodrich Commercial T/A all season installed 5/23/08 @ 81492 miles. Original spare 1988 used infrequently.Tread and sidewalls look good and no visual cracking.
Original special steel wheel covers were replaced with plastic after market wheel covers after one of the originals was lost. Currently the front passenger wheel cover fell off due due to broken plastic stubs that hold it on to the wheel. I have the broken plastic after market wheel cover but have not been able to figure out if it can be fixed and reinstalled.

Please e mail any questions and I will get back to you ASAP.
Thankyou
