BACKGROUND
Continuing on the topic of Porsche diversity, we are happy to present yet another RWB acquisition: Spectre.

Beginning life as a guards red 964 C4, Spectre was transformed into a street warrior-esque fully sorted Rauh Welt example that also features gorgeous RSR style backdating.

Spectre was built at the end of 2015 in Portland Oregon personally by Nakai and is one of the earliest stateside-built RWB examples. An interesting pointer is that this example has retained its original design and setup for almost a decade and was thoroughly enjoyed by its commissioner!

SETUP
The exterior presents signature RWB widebody styling with a trendy Fashion Gray paintjob displaying “Spectre” in standard Porsche-esque font down the side of the door. Within the bolted fenders sit a mismatching set of custom Rotiform (Model in the front and MLW in the rear) 3-piece wheels with Minilite styling in the rear and early Fuchs styling in the front portraying classic Porsche motorsport aesthetics with a massive 335 width tire in the rear. The RSR look is completed with a proper rear ducktail, a tucked front bumper with the squared off lower fascia and Motorsport Lexan quarter windows.

Below the ducktail lies a naturally aspirated 3.6L mildly tuned with a Steve Wong chip and woken up with an RS flywheel for improved engine response and rev matching. The top end rebuild was done to correct the pre facelift 964 issue of not having gaskets between the cylinders and case. The SSI headers were used on early hotrods, the noise emitted is period correct sounding raspiness matching onghood styling. All together we’d expect a power bump of around 30-40hp. The motor sounds healthy through the RSR style exhaust and is super rev-happy with the LWF.

Behind the custom Rotiform wheels lies a KW V3 damper setup allowing fine tuning of the suspension with optional axle lift ($12k setup!). To tie in the looks and feel and rennline front strut brace has been added and a color matched half roll cage.

The RS inspired interior is minimalistic and clean. Nakai’s signature used on his later builds can be seen on the dash. Recaro SPG fixed buckets display custom white and black Ralph Lauren pattern seat inserts with color matched hardbacks. Red seat belts, Red tach, rs carpet and door panels, rennline galore, momo mod7 and radio delete leave you in comfort but minimalistic to keep you and your machine tied together just as Porsche intended with there RS models.

Spectre represents perhaps the perfect street-sorted RWB combining comfort and traditional motorsport inspiration to create a usable yet fun ride with functional AC.
