This XJS Convertible redefined GT cruising. It 's 5.3 liter fuel injected V12 is smooth and powerful, while delivering reasonable fuel efficiency, because of tall gearing and an excellent automatic gearbox. This Convertible was used sparingly and it has only 26,725 miles. Some minor defects in the paint are only obvious on close inspection and after full servicing it is ready for summer evening cruising or long trips to your favorite destinations.
The V12 Jaguars are now at the age where the only sensible option is to redo all of the rubber hoses, belts and vacuum lines that control the high pressure fuel injection system. The complete service with parts and labor can run to $10,000 when the top of the engine is stripped to replace cam cover gaskets and all of the fuel lines and controls. Once a complete service is performed the next 20+ years should be worry free. Routine annual service costs with V12 Jaguars are within normal range for late model cars. As with all cars, routine annual maintenance is critical, regardless of miles traveled, to maintain a long and trouble free life.
