This truck has the 6.5NA motor and 4L80e transmission. This is arguably the best combo for the H1 because its fully mechanical and does not have any of the common failure points like on the 96-04 turbo trucks (no ECU, no ABS/TT4, no PMD, no #8 cylinder issues). If you are new to the H1 and not a mechanic, this is what you want. Turn the key and go, this truck will not leave you stranded.
I purchased from a member of the Hummer community that lived in Nevada. Under previous ownership the following was completed:
- AM General 'Elephant Ear' side mirrors
- All portals had been serviced and inspected.
- Suspension parts also serviced and replaced that needed replacing
- New heads
- New oil pump
- Reman injection pump
- New injector lines
- New AcDelco injectors and glow plugs
- Reman transfer case
- have parts for the upgraded 1997.5 AC system but needs to be finished (I believe it would be easier and cost effective to install a stand along system from Cold Master)
- 17” Cepek Rims (recommended aftermarket rims for Hummers)
- Custom tire carrier (with full size spare mounted on a H2 rim)
- 5 like new 37” Cooper tires
- Predator heavy duty rock rails
- Predator D-Ring brush guard
I purchased the Hummer and had it shipped to Spartan Offroad in Florida to be serviced by one of the best Hummer shops in the world. While the truck was there it was inspected for any issues/ replacement parts. Please see below for some of the completed work.
- New Plow springs
- New Fuel filter and fuel lines replaced
- New power steering pump OEM
- New AcDelco batteries
- New Air lift hood hooks
- New RubberDuck 4x4 Suspension Lift and Ball Joint angle shims
- New rear close out panel for body lift
The original 4 door hard top was removed and replaced with a Black Dog Customs Slantback top. After Spartan Offroad completed the work on the truck it was shipped to Prince Edward island, Canada. There custom fabrication was done to mimic the armor plating that is used on armored HMMWVs. The plating along the roof is composed from steel and the Slantback armor is composed of aluminum to save on weight. Fuel door was worked into the armor plating as a means of having a lockable fuel door.
Hummer has had a custom paint job in beautiful Kemora Grey. The pictures don’t do it justice. Color changes in the sunlight. As can be seen in the pictures. Removable door kit from Alpha Customs has been installed to really show up all those Jeeps. Extremely fun to have all 4 doors off in the summer.
The interior has been completed in a “Kevlar” finish to give the feeling of a more rugged finish, paring well with the Civilian H1/Military looks.
I have had the following added:
- Custom paint job, including painting of door handles
- New door handle gaskets
- New Trucklite LED headlights
- New Trucklite Military Front LED signal / blinker
- New Trucklite Military Rear Brake Lights
- New LED Reverse Lights
- New LED Makerlights
- New Rubber Druck 4x4 Aluminum gauge bezels
- New Auto Meter gauges
- New custom headliner
- Alpha Customs removable door hardware
- Alpha Customs full interior carpeting.
- Momo Competition Steering Wheel
- New speakers
- Air horn
- New windshield washer reservoir
- Upgraded HVAC vents
- Reverse back up camara intergraded in new infotainment center
- Mounting plates installed for customization for the new owner.
- Full time rearview camera to see what’s behind you while driving.
Truck will come with all original gauges and parts for the AC/Heater unit. I cannot speak to what is actually there. Heat/AC not hooked up to the front vents. As per the above noted information. The rear Aux system does have heat. I didn’t get around fixing the ac unit. Doors off in the summer was my cool fix. If the new owner is looking for an ac unit I’d be happy to help them in the right direction.
The “bad” truck has a slight oil leak rear of the oil pan. Havnt bothered to fix this as it doesn't leak much at all. It would be a simple fix (new gasket). Just a messy job.
Truck is in beautiful condition.
Located on PEI Canada. Can easily be exported back to the USA Tariff free$70,000 USD
