2) Big-power single-turbo conversions (like this 925 WHP GE-block car) add:
- GE pistons/ring lands can fail north of 800 WHP; head-gasket lift is real.
- Needs a spot-on ProEFI tune—knock or lean spike will lunch the motor.
- Stock-style twin-disc clutches won’t live; budget for a serious multi-disc and fresh V160 synchros.
- Turbo heat soaks everything; oil cooler, good drain-back and heat-shielding are mandatory.
- Fuel filters and pumps become wear items—clogged pickup = instant piston meltdown.
