About this 2001 Ford Mustang GT

VIN: 1FAFP42X61F250595

7000 Mile, 2 Owner, 2001 Ford Mustang GT

This car was purchased originally in Hamden, CT from Bob Thomas Ford and the original owner put just about 5000 miles on the car in his 20 years of ownership. He changed the oil every year up until about 2009, where it then seems as though the car was driven even more sparingly, as the next oil change comes in 2019 with less than 1000 miles driven since the last change. The car was always stored in a climate controlled garage and reportedly never even driven in the rain. Apparently the first owner became enamored of the new Supra and traded the Mustang in to Toyota Wallingford in 2019. The dealership went through the car checking everything, changing the oil and putting new tires on the car (Dunlop Conquest Sport 245/45/17). They put it out front on their lot and the current owner drove by and was smitten by the bright yellow paint.

He turned around and went right in and ended up buying the car, especially with such low mileage.

While his garage wasn't climate controlled, it too stayed tucked inside and was driven only on beautiful days, amassing roughly 1500 more miles in the last 6 years. He would take the car out on almost every nice weekend, but when only driving 20-30 miles around town and on some local back roads, it takes a while for the miles to add up. Actual mileage is 6793.

He has reportedly changed the oil several times on his own.

Also during his ownership, he's added a cold air intake and a Magna-Flow stainless exhaust with crossover tube.

The Mustang was delivered to Bob Thomas Ford in Zinc Yellow, and came with the 4.6L normally aspirated SOHC 16V V8 that puts out 260 HP and 302 lb/ft of Torque. This funnels the power through a Tremac 5 speed manual transmission out to the 3.27-1 limited slip 8.8 Ford rear diff.

Inside the leather sport interior has an 8 way power driver seat, manual passenger seat, power windows, tilt wheel, power mirrors, power disc brakes F&R, power steering, Ford's Mach460 stereo system, Air conditioning, fog lights, traction control and fold down rear seats.

The interior is immaculate with only the slightest evidence of use on the driver bolster.

The exterior is equally flawless. In my inspection I did not come across one scratch or nick in the paint. Under the hood, again, so clean you can eat off of any surface and of course, the trunk is the same.

The undercarriage still has all the original over-spray and labels in place, the only fault one can see under the car is that the original bare-metal lower A arms and the rear axle housing have a coating of flash rust/surface rust. Not sure why Ford wouldn't coat these or paint them in some way.

Turn the key and the V8 rumbles to life. The Magna-Flow exhaust has a deep throatiness to it and when you get on it, it growls. The pleasant surprise is that once you're cruising in 5th gear, the rumble subsides so you're not deafened.

As you would expect, this car runs and drives as a brand new car. Everything works as it should.

While a 2001 Mustang GT isn't a rare car, one with less than 7000 miles surely is.

The condition of this almost new Mustang warrants an asking price of $25,000
