About this 2002 BMW Z3 2.5i

VIN: 4USCN33472LM06402

This 3 owner BMW was first purchased in MA and the first owner drove 100,000 miles in her. This first owner was meticulous with service, going so far as to have the tires rotated and balanced every 5000 miles or thereabouts, along with the standard BMW certified maintenance. In 2012 the Z3 came to the coastline of CT, where the second owner was almost as meticulous, reportedly having her repainted in the stock Alpine White, as it just wasn't shiny enough. The paint job was a very good one as it is very difficult to find any evidence of it, except that this paint is way too good for a car with 115,000. As you'll see in the photos, there is nary a flaw in this paint. The tan leather interior shows nearly the same level of wear as the paint. Very little on even the most used "touch points". There is a slight rub on the driver bolster and up where the seat belt comes across, but very minor. The second owner drove less than 1000 miles a year and sold to the current owner in 2021, who also has put less than 1000 miles a year on the car. Not driving it enough, he's decided to move her on to someone who will enjoy the car more than he's been able to to.

The 2.5L DOHC inline 6 puts out roughly 185 hp and 175 lb ft. While not chart topping, in a car that only weighs 2800 lbs it moves it along nicely, the low, wide stance enabling it to handle curvy back roads with aplomb.

Of course, as a BMW it has a bunch of creature comforts, leather interior, 4 way power seats, cruise control, 4 wheel disc brakes, (power /ABS of course), stability control, 5 speed auto transmission (that can be manually shifted), AC that blows nice and cold, Harmon Kardon stereo/CD, airbags power convertible top, etc.

Totally clean CarFax, this car presents as a car with only 40K miles, or less... Actually, I've seen cars with 10K miles that don't look as good as this one. The undercarriage is very clean, with no rust.

She starts right up, idles as she should, accelerates strongly, handles great, all lights and electronics work as they should.

I think the worst issue with the car is the separated rear window trim which the owner just repaired himself. Not a factory repair but keeps the trim in place.

Technically this car is turn key and can be immediately enjoyed as is.

The Continental 225/50ZR 16 tires are dated 2010, but have hardly seen sunlight in those 15 years and can still be driven on without worry. A new set though would amp up the handling a bit.

The BMW inline six is a known stalwart, easily hitting 200K miles or more, reliably and well serviced, as this one has been.

It is with all this in mind that the asking price for this 2002 Z3 is
