The R170 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class is the first generation of the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class range of compact luxury roadsters manufactured by Mercedes-Benz from 1996 until 2004,[2] using a shortened variant of the W202 Mercedes C-Class platform. The SLK nameplate derives from roadster's design ethos: to be sportlich (sporty), leicht (light) and kurz (compact). It was sold in North America for the 1996–2004 model years. It will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.3 seconds.
Finished in Brilliant Silver with a Charcoal Leather interior, this is a low mileage, one owner car (purchased in July, 2003 from Mercedes-Benz of Ann Arbor, MI), that has been well maintained and cared for since new, and is in excellent condition in all respects.
This SLK features a folding metal electro-hydraulic roof (dubbed “vario-roof'”by Mercedes), that takes 25 seconds to operate. Equipment includes power windows, power steering, dual-zone climate control, dimmable interior mirror, a 6-speaker Bose sound system with Dual Subwoofers and alloy wheels. Safety features include front and side driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and more.
