BMW had another hit when they installed the 330 horsepower, "S54" 3.2L 24-valve, inline 6-cylinder from the M3 into the Z4 chassis. Today these enthusiast spec M-Cars are the ultimate representation a "modern classic" as only 3042 M-Roadsters were brought to North America during the 2 year production run. Weighing at just over 3100 lbs, the Z4 M-Roadster was able to rocket from zero-60mph in just 4.7 seconds and and was electronically limited to a 155mph top speed which has been a common point since the 1980's on various M Cars over the years. The engine has fly-by-wire throttle, double VANOS (variable valve timing) and is paired to a 6-Speed manual "Type H" ZF transmission. Other mechanical features include: torque-sensing limited-slip differential, quick-ratio hydraulic power steering, multi-link rear suspension, Dynamic Stability Control II, and anti-lock 4-wheel disk brakes with larger calipers shared with the M3 Competition model.
This particular M-Roadster was produced in August of 2006 and was sold new from BMW of Bellevue in January of 2007. The car is finished in its all-original Black Sapphire Metallic paintwork over Black Nappa Leather interior and black soft top. The options include: Premium Package (power seats, auto dimming mirrors, storage pkg, premium sound, cruise control, BMW assist) Full power soft top, Madeira Walnut Wood trim, Heated seats, Alarm, and DVD based GPS Navigation which featured a flip up screen on the dash top. The total MSRP when new was $58,595. This car comes to us from the second owner who purchased the car in 2009 as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from BMW of Bellevue when it had 9600 miles. The car has been dealer serviced over the years and has been only driven on nice weather days showing just 20,380 miles today. The car is in mint condition both inside and out and is a total blast to drive with the traditional analog, M-Car BMW driving experience, that is so lacking in the brand's modern lineup today. New Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires have just been installed as of August and the car has received a fresh oil service, brake fluid flush, power steering fluid flush, and a fresh detailing. Everything is in perfect working condition and the car is ready to be enjoyed and can be driven anywhere. Included with the M-Roadster are the complete set of owner's manuals, original window sticker, 2 remote keys, windscreen, car cover, BMW all-weather floor mats, tire inflator kit, clean CarFax report, and clear WA title in the owner's name.
