The technical basis of this Rare 2006 XKR Coupe XK100
designed by Ian Callum came from a development project also used for
its sister car the Aston Martin DB7 (which it shares the same platform)
when Ford Motors owned Aston Martin/ Jaguar/Land Rover before
selling in 2008. 2006 was the last year of production run for this model
with 1000 manufactured worldwide and 10 percent were allocated to
the US with only a handful sold as coupes. The only available US 2006
XKR coupe I have been tracking for sale, recently sold last month in
December 2025 at MDK International in the LA area for $18,900 but
was modified with H&R springs.
This 2006 XKR coupe was purchased on April 29 2025 96,700 miles in
the Los Angeles area as the fourth buyer. The dealer acquired and kept
for themselves for 2 years at their enclosed facility and drove it for their
personal use for 2000 miles before putting up for sale. A pre-purchase
inspection was performed by RMB Jag who stated "this car is in such
good condition" and indicated it needed a new brake light switch and a
new battery. He recommended to have all the work done by his
mentor Bob Cutler Jaguar in Pasadena whom has over 50 years working
on Jaguars. The owner of this newly acquired car has made an
investment in the pre-purchase inspection recommendations and
optional upgrading maintenance at their choice.

No work has been done to the body. There are spider scratches on left
and right front bumper corners. A prior owner attempted some paint
touch up spots on the hood and roof. The owner of Avio Coach Craft
(authorized Ferrari of Beverly Hills body shop) in LA said the spots are
easily fixable because the car is black.
Unfortunately, due to a torn right knee meniscus I need to move on
from this amazing super rare performance coupe. I have owned 4
Porsche 911 993 models and prefer this luxurious performance coupe!
I was driving recently and was stopped and a woman walked around
the car and approached my driver side window and said, "Wow, what is
this, it is beautiful". Likewise, I was driving in Santa Monica and
stopped for a Cyclist and he said, "what a great car". Aside from the
XKE, this 2006 XKR coupe is one of Jaguar greatest designs!
