For sale is my Newport Beach weekend "Cars & Coffee" and West Coast scenic road-tour Shelby GT500. This Grabber Blue GT500 has just 18,300 original miles and is equipped with a Whipple 750HP Supercharger.
My significant other has been reminding me for some time that I'm a “garage-hog”, so it's probably a good time for someone else to enjoy this exceptional Ford Racing heritage machine.
This is a serious performance vehicle and should not be operated by inexperienced or immature drivers. I would strongly prefer prospective buyers be over the age of 25. The safety and well-being of occupants and the public should always be taken seriously when driving a vehicle of this capability.
At my retirement age, this GT500 still remains an absolute joy to drive and continues to exceed my expectations of what Ford's SVT (Special Vehicle Team) engineers created. It has been a few years since my days as a driver, instructor, and track official, however, I can say that this car still delivers a driving experience that very few vehicles substantially more expensive can match.
I'll admit it still makes me smile when any of my European supercar and hypercar buddies struggle to decide which race-mode they need to select before trying to taking a run at this Shelby.
The car has always been professionally maintained by Ford dealership-certified technicians. It has never been abused, in any accidents, and has received regular maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups throughout my ownership. Despite its performance capabilities, it remains surprisingly practical and no more demanding or costly to maintain than many other Ford product.
