What’s the difference between the Ghost Black Badge and the standard Ghost?
The Ghost Black Badge is essentially Rolls-Royce’s “dark and sporty” edition of the regular Ghost, and the differences are pretty significant:
Both use the same 6.75L twin-turbo V12, but the Black Badge is tuned for more punch: 592 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque versus the standard Ghost’s 563 hp and 627 lb-ft. That’s an extra 29 horses and 37 lb-ft of torque, dropping the 0-60 time from around 4.6 seconds down to about 4.2 seconds. The Black Badge also gets rear-axle steering and a more responsive suspension setup.
This is the big visual difference. While the standard Ghost wears bright chrome like a traditional Rolls should, the Black Badge goes dark:
The Black Badge models get more bespoke customization options—technical fiber trim choices, starlight headliner configurations, and an overall more “driver-focused” character. Rolls-Royce positions the standard Ghost as pure luxury, while the Black Badge is for folks who want luxury with attitude (“the night belongs to the audacious,” as they say).
In today’s market, that exclusivity costs you. Standard 2023 Ghosts are running around $270k-$285k, while this Black Badge is listed at $329,998. The original MSRP was $470,125 when new, so there’s definitely a premium baked in.
The Black Badge essentially takes everything great about a Ghost and dials it up for someone who wants to be noticed—but with that subtle, sophisticated menace that only Rolls-Royce can pull off.
