Alfa Romeo first introduced the Giulietta family of cars in 1954 with the Giulietta Sprint. These cars were built in two evolutions, the Type 750 (1954-1959), and the later Type 101 (1959-1965). The Sprint was a 2+2 coupe and was the first body style to be released. Later Alfa would also release a Berlina (sedan), and Spider (convertible), as well as the rarer Sprint Speciale (two seat coupe) and Promiscua (estate). Giulietta variants were all powered by 1.3L inline four engines. The Giulietta Berlina was in production until 1964, yet the Sprint, Spider, and Sprint Speciale were rebranded as Giulia cars in 1963, essentially still the same cars as before, but fitted with a 1.6L engine.
