The MG Metro is a small city car produced between 1980 and 1998, first manufactured by British Leyland and later by Rover Group. It was an extremely popular car with more than 2 million Metro’s produced. The Metro had various siblings, with Rover and Austin also manufacturing the same model with a different brand badge. The most powerful standard production Metro was the Turbo, which featured a turbocharged 1275cc inline four engine. Although perhaps the most notable Metro variant was the famous 6R4 rally car, which was designed for Group B rallying.
