The Acura RL was a model of sedans that debuted for the 1996 model year. The RL was built in two generations (1996-2004, 2005-2012), which saw the model sold in two different segments. For the 1st Gen, the RL was a full-size sedan, but the 2nd Gen saw the model move into the mid-size segment. These cars were powered by a selection of front-mounted V6 engines which were paired to automatic transmissions. In markets outside of North America, the RL was known as the Honda Legend.
