Allard M (1947 to 1950)

The Allard M was a series of convertibles introduced in 1947. The M, also known as the M1, was offered in a four seat drophead coupe body style. These cars were powered by a Ford-sourced 3.6L V8 engine sending drive to the rear wheels via a 3 speed manual transmission. Whereas previously Allard had built focused performance cars, the M marked a shift, as it was considered to be a usable sports car. Production of the Allard M lasted until 1950, with an estimated 500 examples built.
