Alvis, also known as the Alvis Car and Engineering Company, was an English automotive manufacturer that was traces its roots to 1919. Officially established as Alvis in 1921, the company entered the automotive market with early models such as the 10/30, 12/50, and the Silver Eagle. These models helped establish the company as a highly regarded manufacturer, but later offerings such as the Speed 20 and Speed 25 cemented Alvis' reputation in the motoring world. After WW2, Alvis resumed automotive production with the TA 14, following it up with models such as the TA 21, TD 21, and TE 21. After years of declining fortunes, Alvis finally ceased autmotive production in 1967 after being purchased by Rover.
